This privacy policy statement applies to both Restaurant Fred and Wine Fred.

We respect and safeguard privacy by complying with the Personal Data Protection Act, the European Privacy Directive (95/46/EC) and the Personal Data Protection Act. Our privacy regulations reflect the rules applied to the registration of personal information through the Wine Fred website.

Personal data collection and use:
Restaurant Fred & Wine Fred are the sole owners of the data collected on this site. We will not sell, transfer or make the information available to others in any way other than as indicated in these privacy regulations.

Register, reserve and order:
We request information from our customers on our forms. The customer must give us information to reach them (such as name, address, zip code, city and e-mail address). This information is used to get in touch about services on our site and in our company for which the user has signed up, to send bills and to fulfill orders. If we have problems with our services, we use the information to get in touch with our client. On our forms, we do not require payment information.

A cookie is data that is written to the user’s hard drive that contains data about that user. Use of a cookie is in no way linked to personally identifiable information on our site. When the user closes their browser, the cookie simply stops. Because we set a cookie, our customer does not have to re-enter their personal information the next time they place an order.

Log files:
We use IP addresses to analyze trends, drive our site, see how users use our site and gather broad statistics for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.

If a user wishes to subscribe to a newsletter from Restaurant Fred and/or Wine Fred, we use information such as name and e-mail address.

We use a third party to ship our orders (e.g., PostNL). Shipping companies do not retain, provide or use personally identifiable information for other purposes.

Special offers:
We may send all new customers an e-mail asking if they are interested in receiving our newsletter with special offers. Out of respect for privacy, we give the option of not wanting to receive this information.

Customers who no longer wish to receive our newsletter may notify us by sending an email to: or unsubscribe via the link in the newsletter.

We also do everything within our power to protect users’ data offline and online. All user information is protected within our company. Only those who need the information to perform a particular task, such as to perform the services for which our users have signed up, to send bills and to fulfill orders, have access to personally identifiable information. The computers on which we stored personally identifiable information are protected by double passwords, antivirus software and a Firewall. Financial information, such as credit card numbers, is not stored on our computers.

Correct/adjust personal information:
If a user’s personally identifiable information changes or if a user no longer wishes to use our services, there is the following way to correct, modify or delete this information we have available. These requests must be in writing and sent to:

Notice of changes:
If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post it on our website so that users are always aware of what information we collect, use and under what circumstances we do so. If we get to a point, where we decide to start using personally identifiable information in a way that differs from the way that was valid at the time the information was collected, we will inform users by sending an email. Users then have the choice to choose whether we can use the information in the new way. We use the information in accordance with the privacy regulations in effect at the time of collection.
